Spazio post-sovietico: Ucraina

Gli stati dell’area post-sovietica a sud-ovest della Russia – Ucraina, Bielorussia e Moldova – hanno attraversato vicende politiche controverse: fatta eccezione per la “granitica” stabilità bielorussa, la Moldova e, soprattutto, l’Ucraina hanno evidenziato grande fermento, sia sul fronte politico interno che su quello degli equilibri di politica internazionale.

Tale quadro di incertezza e di conflittualità politica non è stato per nulla lenito dalla “rivoluzione arancione” di Kiev, il cui enorme impatto mediatico ha avuto rilevanti ripercussioni in altre aree dello spazio post-sovietico. La ricerca è focalizzata, attraverso l’analisi e la classificazione delle elite ucraine post-sovietiche e delle relative politiche,  sui processi di cambiamento politico-istituzionale e sulle prospettive di collocazione dell’Ucraina nell’ambito delle relazioni internazionali.

Post-Soviet space: Ukraine

The states in the post-Soviet area to the south-east of Russia – Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova – have experienced controversial political events: with the exception of the rock-like stability of Belarus, Moldova and above all the Ukraine have witnessed great ferment, both on the home front and in terms of the balances of international politics.

This framework of political uncertainty and conflict has not been mitigated to any great extent by the “orange revolution” in Kiev, whose enormous media impact has had wide repercussions in other areas of the post-Soviet space. The research is focused, through the analysis and classification of the post-Soviet Ukrainian elites and their policies, on the processes of political and institutional change and on the future collocation of Ukraine in the context of international relations.
